Trick or Treat

Marshall has a few years to go before he starts knocking on doors for candy. As a practice run today, he donned his first costume as a lion.

He didn’t seem to notice that he had a costume on and he crawled around excitedly, playing on the floor. All of a sudden, he noticed that he had a tail. The tail kept him occupied for several minutes as he played with it.

As you can see from this photo, he took advantage of the extra padding on his back and rolled around the floor. Bella seemed a bit confused to see a furry version of Marshall on the floor, playing around. Cute!

Signs of Autumn

It’s autumn and the pumpkins are out! I took my camera along to the grocery store last weekend and tried to get some shots of Marshall amoungst the orange squash. He was tired and ready for a nap hence the photo of him not beaming as he usually does. We ended up passing on the huge Jack o Lantern pumpkins this year. Instead we went to the Ballard Farmers’ Market and bought a Sugar Pie pumpkin for eating. Here you can see Marshall in his stroller eating his way through the market.

Happy Birthday!

DSC_3221_blog.jpg Marshall’s big day was October 10th – a year old already! I had great intentions of baking him a birthday cake (from scratch of course). Let’s just say I ended up making a trip to the bakery department at Whole Foods and came home with a coconut cake. Marc and I lit the candle and sang, “Happy Birthday” while he tried to grab the burning candle.
