Edmonton Trip
I took Marshall up to Edmonton for 5 days and survived the plane trip there and back. Victory!
Although the flight is deceptively short, many landmines lie in the field of flying with a toddler who’d rather run around the plane than sit still for 2 hours. For one thing, the airport here makes us descend from the airport to the tarmac, then up a flight of stairs to board the plane like they do in those presidential photos. Except I don’t have an entourage to take care of said toddler so that I could free up my hands to wave to the media (sigh). Back to my reality – it is a challenge when one person is trying to corral a toddler, his carseat, and carryon bags. I played it smart and attached skate wheels to his Britax car seat and that made all the difference in the world.
Here is a photo of Marshall all settled in his carseat. He even took the emergency procedures pamphlet and tried to decipher the cartoons.
Marshall and Grandpa at dinner the first night.
We visited Anne, Kieran, and Madeleine Thursday morning. Marshall had a blast playing with Kieran’s trucks, emergency vehicles, and car ramps.
And then we had dinner with Karen and her girls.
Photos with Grandpa taken at dim sum.
Ora and a gaggle of boys!
Marshall in front of a climbing wall at MEC. After our MEC excursion we crossed the street to the chocolate shop. Ora bought him a choco sucker and he immediately chomped it to nothing.
Walking with his Goong Goong. Life is good!
